Approximately 7 miles of River. There are various bridges which allow parking and access. Signs on the access gates give which bank to fish and Peg Number. The top half of the river is mainly Chubb, Dace, Perch and Roach, whilst the bottom end of the river is more Chubb, Roach and Pike.

Old Canal

Recreation Ground, Ilminster

At the bottom of the Recreation Ground, behind the tennis court, with parking at Canal Way. Approximately 150 yards of Canal, with Carp, Perch, Roach, Tench, and Bream; Carp going up to 15lbs. The Canal can be fished all year round.

Dillington Estate Pond

One mile out of Ilminster, turn into Eaglewood Park – you will see the pond in front of you. Approximately half an acre, with a depth of upto 25 feet. Main species found include Roach, Rudd, Perch, Chubb, Tench, Bream and Crucian Carp. The pond can be fished all year round. (Juniors must be accompanied by an adult)

Ilminster Angling Association has exchange tickets with Dorchester and District Angling Society and Langport and District A.A..
